Hello world! It’s Us, The Fifth Friday Sisterhood!

Learn about Fifth Friday Sisterhood in three easy steps.

1. Who are we?

Oh my. Who are we? We are an all-volunteer team of storytellers and myth creators under the guidance of Manjit Krishna Kaur. We gather regularly to plan events and support each other.

Fifth Friday is a sisterhood in the broadest sense of the word. It’s not a gendered thing or a biological thing. Instead, we think of sisterhood as a bond of love and protection that strives for trust, honesty, and open-hearted interaction.

AND…We don’t simply tell stories. We volunteer. We work. We write. We offer workshops. We teach. We learn. All the while, we support the quiet voices among us and first time storytellers.

2. How can you see our storytelling events?

During 2018, we are housed by Studio/K in Amsterdam Oost . Here’s a link to a Google Map.

Mark your calendars! Our upcoming public events are:

  1. August 31, 2018
  2. November 30, 2018

Watch this space for more information about the theme and our storytelling workshop. You can also follow us on Facebook. We’d love it if you would click on FOLLOWING and select See First and All On.

Fifth Friday encourages first-time storytellers. We don’t just encourage first-timers, we offer training. The training is free. We do ask people to make a small donation to cover the cost of a bite to eat and some tea.

The workshops are designed to make storytellers feel more comfortable in front of an audience. Content is not critiqued. Instead, participants learn what it means to stand in front of a group and tell a story.

Workshops are offered on the day of the event. Often, some of those who attend are invited to join the lineup. Some participants even become regulars. And some actually end up volunteering as part of our team. This could be you.

We don’t spam or sell your email addresses. We just send out newsletters to keep you informed.

In general, our newsletters keep you up to date with our activities. They remind you of events. We also share interesting stories from our network and outside our network.
